After finding the deeply underrated @film_shooter_yvr on YouTube (look up Alastair Bird) I got encouraged after watching one of his videos to go out and shoot some 5x4 slide film, which I got untested from eBay. Because I’m also both a cheapskate and insane I decided to develop it myself too because otherwise there was no way I could afford to shoot the stuff.
Here then are the results that came out and were not six sheets of slightly pink and entirely blank plastic. I’m aware it’s just very slightly out of focus.
There really is nothing like a large format slide and while it’s agonisingly slow to shoot the results when they work are completely amazing.
